Divx Now Plays in QuickTime from Technology Posts
August 12, 2005
A post just went up at Divx Labs.  They have released Beta 1 of Divx Fusion Codec.  And, if you're like me, this will be big news for you.  Divx on the Mac has been painful with several codec's coming and going over the years.  Each one of them had differing degrees of success.  Then, with the release of 10.4, all of the codec's that I had been using simply broke.

Until now, the only way I could reliably play Divx on my Mac was using VLC.  Beta 1 of Divx Fusion changed that for me.  After I ran the installer and rebooted, I was finally able to play Divx files in the QuickTime player.  And, so far, results are impressive!

Good luck!
