Is Broadband over Powerline (BPL) the Furture? from Technology Posts
August 10, 2005
BPL, or Broadband over Powerline, may be the future of high-speed internet access in the United States and around the world.  If rolled out country wide, it would mean that every home in the US that has electricity would have broadband internet.  And, at theorized speeds of up to 200Mb, it would be the fastest broadband connection available.

What could be better?  If the access is fast, and universal, is there a downside?  Some claim that the frequencies used to carry data will interfere with radio communication.

Checkout this story from hardavenue.com.  It does a good job of explaining the pros and potential cons of the technology.

One thing is certain, this type of universal high-speed access could stand  to unite the world in a profound way.
